One coaching approach. Clear practice. Better movement as a team.
Plan court rotations, run the live-ball timer, share exercises with your players and keep a log of every session.
Your profile, your DUPR, and the exercises and videos your coaches share with you. Learn the drills before you arrive, then take them onto the court.
Every Sunday we run live ball and drills side by side. One court plays coach-fed live ball. The other runs focused drills with our ball machine. Players rotate between the two on a timer, so everyone gets match play, drill time and machine reps in the same session.
Four on court, three ready to rotate in. The coach feeds and sets one rule for the day, like "the third shot must be a drop".
One player on the ball machine, two on a partner drill. The machine changes player every few minutes.
Ten minutes on both courts before the first block.
Three players move to the drill court for each block. The timer calls their names out loud.
The order cycles through the whole group, so drill time evens out across the session.
Live ball, the machine and the partner drill all train the same skill that day.
We coach the pair, not just the player. These four ideas run through every drill we teach.
The server holds the baseline while the ball is live: patience with intent. It's the discipline of not chasing the point before it's earned, trusting your partner to close the net.
The returner sprints the transition zone the moment the ball leaves the paddle. It's commitment under pressure: arriving at the net before the rally decides it for you.
Every crossing shot, every poach, every "yours" called mid-point traces an X across the court. It's the shape of trust: knowing where your partner is without looking.
You and your partner stretch, cover, and compensate for each other. Pull too far apart and the point breaks. Stay tied, and it holds.
And all of you are our teachers. This is where we brainstorm, teach, learn and grow together, and build the methods that move the needle in the right direction.
Every player brings something to the court. We share what works, try it together on Sunday, and keep what helps the pair.
Adil, our first 4 Zero+ coach, leads the sessions, starting this Sunday at Tanzanite.
A group of USA-based PPA pro coaches shares advice, experience and ideas with us, so what we practise here is tested at the top of the game.
No kids' bracket. From around 10–12, depending on their physical level, young players train and play with everyone else. That's how they grow.
New Sunday places, new drills, and the player area as it opens.
You're on the list. See you on court.
